The attitude angle of high-speed mobile object in the shield tube is tested by use of optical lever in this paper. This method is used in the attitude test for rocket launch project, the projectile in bore, the flying shell and so on in the military items, which is the most effective method at present.The common path polarized optical system is applied to the optical lever test system in this paper. The polarized optical elements, eg. half waveplate, qualter waveplate and polarized beam splitor etc, are adopted in the system to make full use of the laser power and prevent the laser return to its own cavity resonator. A large aperture collimator is used to receive the skew beam so as to expand the range for attitude test. The special Position Sensitive Detector(PSD) processing circuit is designed to increase the frequency responsibility and decrease the dark current noise. Therefore the precision of the whole system has been improved. By means of the high speed data acquisition card PCI-9812, the data acquiring and processing software is written. The system is calibrated and its repeatability is tested. A series of measurements are carried out. The experiment using Hopkinson tube to shield the object is carried out to validate the optical lever system. The experiments been carried out both inside/outside the laboratory and the experimental results are presented.Through a large amount of experiments, the reliability of the system is proved to be good and the results are satisfied.
