The Digital Storage Oscilloscope is an indispensable instrument in modern testing field. The Digital Storage Oscilloscope industry has been at a monopoly status abroad because of their newest technology and best capability. But the native research is still at the beginning. In this context, we do a research on the project of MSO. It include two 2GSPS DSO channel, sixteen Logic Analysis channels and DMM module.This paper is a software design based on the project of MSO, which has the core of embedded digital processor (ADSP-BF531), uses the framework of DSP and FPGA, and processes under the Visual DSP + + platform of ADI Company.The analog, hardware, sampling and data process module of this project are designed by other teacher and student. This paper is focus on the MSO design of GUI, IAP, LA and DMM module.Following is the function details of the modules:a) The important point is designing a beautiful, multiple unit, convenient for manipulation Menu.b) Modify the LCD driving design. Use PPI interface of DSP to drive the LCD, keep the system stability when MSO is in a runtime.c) Design an update scheme for the MSO. The user can use USB interface to update the software version of the MSOd) Design a fast mapping scheme for wave display.e) Design sixteen LA channels and DMM function. Enhance the domain of the testing signals and functionality.Finally, accomplish part of the function as mentioned above and the design of first step MSO.
