With the developing of modern industrial, noise control has drawn increasing attention and concern of people, enterprises and community. Long-term exposure in the high noise environment, people's health will be seriously harmed, the even the general noise might affect people's normal life and work. In order to protect people's health, many enterprises invested a lot of energy to solve the noise problems. This thesis studies noise problems of Cigarette Machine.This thesis studies about noise control of PASSIM 12K cigarette machine: first of all, the sound characteristics have been analyzed systematically; the definition of noise and how to measure the noise which make some certain awareness of the noise; Secondly, research on the characteristics of industrial noise, classification and noise control principles, expound the noise control technology for the moment, and provide a theoretical basis to Noise Control. Finally, we do comprehend the internal machinery of cigarette machine and ascertain the main resource of noise and how does the noise come into being by the theoretical researching of cigarette machine PASSIM 12K and acoustic measurement data analysis. The alteration has been done by traditional method: water-round drum of paper (the main sources of noise) with segregating and absorbing method; Replace all of the doors to ensure that doors have good sealing effect and absorption; A maze of machinery was built in the venr which consume the noise energy and guarantee the good aeration. After the completion of the production we measure the equipment, and compare the measurement results with before; judge if the transformation is reasonable and successful, propose constructive suggestions for the further transformation. PASSIM 12K Cigarette Machine is manufactured by a British tobacco company. It's able to produce 1,200 cigarettes each hour with a high level of automation and its internal structure is greatly sophisticated and complex even the current domestic manufacturing enterprises can't achieve its production and technological requirements. That's the reason why reducing voices from the source of noise is not feasible. The transformation in this paper used the traditional method to reduce noise. It can be seen from the measurement data both before and after that the PASSIM 12K cigarette machine noise control is relatively successful. It lowered the noise frequency and created a set of theory of noise control.
