Fully combustible cartridge case (FCCC) is combustible completely in gun bore when the artillery fires. It has a lot of advantages, such as avoiding extraction, reducing the weight of artillery shell, raising the firing rate. So countries all over the world attach importance to its research. However, FCCC is made of combustible nonmetal materials. Its intensity is inferior to the metal case. How to design the feeding system of FCCC which can satisfy the demand of feeding of high rate is one of the key technologies in the period of FCCC's application to the artillery of high rate.Exploratory research of the ammunition feeding system of FCCC is presented in this thesis. By studying the current feeding systems and the related patents, considering the inherent character of FCCC and basic demand of the feeding system, a general scheme of ammunition feeding system of FCCC have been provided. Trunk unilateral linkless feed system is established consisting of flexible guideline, rigid guideline and ammunition box. The principle of feeding system and the route of the artillery shell are introduced. The structure and the general scheme of drive have been designed. A 3D model of the feeding system is built up by Pro/E.A critical component of the feeding system, flexible guideline, is imported to ADAMS. Now a virtual prototype of flexible guideline is constructed in ADAMS. Dynamic equation of the feeding belt has been conducted and forces of every cartridge link have been analyzed. Dynamics simulation analysis of the flexible guideline is carried out. At last, some simulation results have been analyzed.The results indicate that the general scheme is feasible in the theory and it can provide references of the further study on the ammunition feed system of FCCC.
