Parameterized design is very important in mechanics design. The Parameterized design is the process from the analyses of function to the creation of Parameterized models. By using Parameterized design, the designer has no need to draw models. They can create different models by changing parameters only, avoiding modeling again. Whether can establish a model quickly and precisely is a common demand both for the designers and the users.Unigraphics is an excellent software integrated machinery CAD/CAE/CAM. It is based on composite modeling, feature modeling and can be used for designing complicated product. Furthermore, UG , an open software, can be used to develop a variety of application programs.On the basis of the research of UG further developing skills, author brings forward the master design of jet vane of air-air missile and makes feature model of product by using parameter and feature modeling method and topology structure theory. The software can be used without special knowledge of UG and suitable to kindred product designing. It improves efficiency of the jet vane design, establishes a solid base for air-to-air missile system design and aeroengine design and calculating the aerodynamic characteristics of jet vane quickly and choosing a proper 3D jet vane model. The software has the features as follows: simple interface, easy to use, favorable man-machine conversation, expandability, transplantation and so on.
