For a long time, time-based maintenance is used in China's transformation equipment maintenance. But there are drawbacks as following: Along with the complexity of the equipment, time-based maintenance will be a corresponding increase in the input, so that reduce the Cost-Performance Ratio of the it, thus lowering the relative labor productivity, is not suited to modern enterprise management model which as economic benefit is the center; time-based maintenance is bound to lead to some good running equipment cyclical outage, a result of maintenance work focuses on one phase, not conducive to raising the quality of maintenance.With the development of society and the changes in the market, a new way have been put out: reliability centered maintenance(RCM). This method is based on equipment failure mode and effects of infection analysis, it's not simply improve the reliability, available ration, but with consider the best combination of economy and reliability, that is the most economical way to improve reliability The method used is that use technical analysis to replace experience regulate, with the results of technical analysis as the basis for the maintenance decision.After considered the character of RCM, we put out the maintaining cycle model based on the way of maintenance and the life forecast model. The mostly content of this paper is as follow:First, narrate the implementation of RCM in the foreign and domestic research and application, and do detailed presentation about the process of implementation of the RCM.Second, put out decision-making model of maintenance of the equipment In the model, time-based maintenance, time-based replacement and condition-based maintenance are three goals, through the use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to make decision-making for maintenance method, and apply the model to relevant equipment in Zhanyi substation.Third, put out the maintaining cycle model based on ways of maintenance, and then apply the model to calculate maintaining cycles for 4 kinds of equipments in Zhanyi substation.Fourth, put out the maintaining cycle model based on life forecast of equipments, and then apply the model to calculate another maintaining cycles for 4 kinds of equipments in Zhanyi substation.Fifth, put out the optimizing model for maintaining cycle, and then use the model to regulate the two cycles in chart 3 and chart 4 for getting a best result of maintaining cycle.
