Tracked vehicles have the great contract area and the little ratio of ground pressure; also they have good performance of adhesion and climbing ability, meanwhile, the small turning radius, better abilities of crossing a low bank of earth between fields and so on are the characteristics of track-laying vehicles. Therefore, they play a very important role in agriculture, construction, modern military and other fields. Tracked working vehicles contain two main functions, walking and working, with the increasingly widespread application. Researching on the track-laying vehicles' common issues, will contribute to form a tracked vehicle work theories and design methods and help guide the development of tracked vehicles, which improve the independently design and capacity of track-type vehicles and promote the application of the vehicle.This paper commissioned by the enterprise to power in a tracked vehicle mobile Drainage and Irrigation Development Project as the background, To vehicle engineering, mechanical design and manufacturing, crawler - mechanics and other ground-based theory, crawler-type vehicles on the work of modeling, power sharing and switching methods, the design of key institutions, such as common problems for an in-depth study, successfully developed a prototype car tracked Irrigation and Drainage, simulation and test results show the research results of this paper, the accuracy and effectiveness. The main research of this article contains as below:1,The research is about the overall layout, power sharing and the match switched on of the Crawler-type vehicles. The dynamic model of the match was built up when tracked vehicles work in different circumstances. The program of the driving force tracked vehicles to switch was compared and constructed.2,Based on analyzing soil physical and mechanical nature closely related to track device, straight-line performance,steering quality ,stability and cross-country performance of tracked vehicles are researched by building model. Tracked vehicles figure and gravity location influence flexibility of vehicles they are also analyzed.3,Tracked working vehicles contain two main functions, walking and working. Design methods about running system and transmission system are formed by combining mechanically-driven and hydraulic transmission4,The finite element model of the frame was established to carry out static analysis and model analysis of the frame. Stress and strain of the frame were calculated under two typical cases. Moreover, model analyses of the frame were carried out to get the inherent frame frequency and vibration mode.5,A prototype tracked vehicle was completed and verification of drainage, vibration test and driving test were carried out. The finite element model of the frame was verified by the results of the vibration experiment. General transmission ratio of the vehicle from the engine to the sashay system and slip rate of the track in the concrete road surface was acquired by the driving test.
