The power accumulator cell mixes one of power electric automobile (HEV) power sources. At present, one of the key aspects that restrict all kinds of electric automobile's development including HEV, is the power accumulator cell's performance index is not ideal. If we want to make electric automobile to compete with the traditional internal combustion engine automobile, the key problem is to enhance the power accumulator cell's performance. Speaking of the existing power accumulator cell, how to realize the lossless strategy in battery's charge, the real-time monitoring battery's charging and discharging condition, to avoid charging or discharging unduly, to guarantee that battery's performance and life, how to carry on real-time or the regular automatic diagnosis and the maintenance to the battery, how to guarantee battery's reliable service. To solve these questions needs to make effective and reasonable battery management system (BMS).Embedded system's working conditions are quite complex. Most embedded systems work in the bad electromagnetic environment which is formed by the strong electricity electric circuit and the strong electricity equipment. In addition system oneself also has each kind of electromagnetism noise. These disturbances disable the system the normal work, enlarge the control error, cause the system's malfunction, even creates the massive loss. BMS is one kind of embedded system, its working conditions compared with the ordinary embedded system's working conditions, are worse. Therefore, how to enhance BMS's reliability becomes the key problem in the system's successful development.The technology to enhance the embedded system's reliability can be divide into two aspects, the hardware and the software .If we only take the hardware measures, like the electromagnetism isolation, the decoupling filter, the noise compensation and so on. Some frequency band disturbances still can invade system, System can not satisfy applied request completely. So we need to take some software measures. The hardware technology and software technique's ingenious union, is the powerful method to enhance the embedded system reliability. This article devotes to BMS's fail-safe analysis and the design, includes the thorough discussion about various aspects factor that influences system's reliability, simultaneously includes the improvement design to the system reliability. BMS can work reliably and safely by experimental confirmation, which guarantees battery system reliability service. BMS completes the predetermined function.
