The design and research of OTR lens for Beam diagnosing system of LIA were introduced in this paper. The Beam diagnosing system convert high energy particles physical procedure into OTR light which can be detected based on Optical transition theory , plus the combination of modern digital image processing technique , the beam arguments such as section plane,emit angle,energy were extracted from the picture captured by photographic cameras.The main researches were listed below:1. The development of LIA worldwide and beam diagnosing techniques were stated; the outline schematic of OTR diagnosing system was discussed.2. The design characteristics of OTR lens (f′400 and f′185 lens) were analyzed . The characteristics conclude: high imaging quality (MTF over 0.8 at 30 cycles/mm), long focal length (185mm and 400mm respectively), large aperture (1.8 & 4.0), and the special is multi-conjugates for different object/image distances. The OTR lenses were designed and the result was given.3. The OTR lens technical essentials including spectrum, transmittance, and part tolerances were lucubrated.4. According to the special circumstances of OTR diagnosing system, anti-radiation were utilized in mechanical designs; common interfaces were also designed for the insurance of interchangeability.The optical system was designed in spherical optical surfaces , f′185,f'′400 lens were optimized with ZEMAX and design requirements were attained.
