For The Design Department Of The Pdm System Development And Key Technology Research

Through studying the theoretic knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management)system, a suit of PDM software for the department of product design is developed. ThePDM software includes two parts, one is Web-based application and the other isDesktop-based application.Firstly in current paper, the definition, evolution progress, global developmentactuality and trend of PDM system, and element-function modules included in PDMsystem are introduced, resumptively, and some relative techniques used in the developmentof PDM system are introduced in detail. Based on the analysis of the actual situation inmedium/pint-sized machine-manufacture enterprises, the requirement for the performancesand functions of PDM system is detailed described, and primary object model of thesystem is built up, and the system frame is also constructed. The development and runningenvironments of the system together with the characteristics of the system frame and theimplementing method of the frame are explained to complete the general design of thesystem. Several key techniques in the PDM system are interpreted in particular. Firstly, theprimary elements of project and project management are introduced, and varioussub-modules especially project-management sub-module are analyzed and built up withobject-oriented technique. The usecase and class diagrams of the module is also set up, andthe development work of each module is accomplished. In succession, the controldevelopment and function implement on the module of document browse and markup areachieved. Meanwhile, the encrypt and decrypt techniques are detailed explained.According to the procedure of database design, the database contained in PDM system isdesigned and developed. And the module of project management is set to the example, itsdatabase diagrams and relation diagrams are designed in detailed. The relation diagrams ofthe other modules are also provided in current paper.Lastly, the running example of PDM system is illustrated. The functions of the PDMsystem developed in this paper on the aspects of project management, document browseand markup, and document encrypt are embodied.
