Collaborative Research And Implementation Of The Key Technologies Of The Digital Pre-assembly System

Collaborative digital pre-assembly is becoming a new paradigm for manufacturing industry. With the help of Collaborative digital pre-assembly technology, professionals can collaborate with each other for the pre-assembly simulation, which can find the designing bugs before machining, in order to decrease fixing time, reduce development costs and enhance the competitiveness of the enterprises.Based on analysis of the characteristic and requirement of collaborative digital pre-assembly system, built on the existing architecture of the e-CWS (e-Cooperative Work System), a distributed, open architecture which supports collaborative digital pre-assembly at the same time in different place is put forward.A general translational method for heterogeneous CAD model in the collaborative environment is studied. The parsing of model can be divided as parsing of geometry display model and parsing of topology and feature under Hierarchical Modeling method. General parsing of geometry display model is realized on the basis of VRML files. Obtaining topology and feature information files, exported from CAD, are used for parsing of topology and feature to match geometry display information. In this way, model in our environment can be repainted and reconfigurable.The construction of collaborative digital pre-assembly system is built on the basis of Multi-Agent technology and the communication language between Agents is studied as well as the relation of it. Files transformation function, which is used for sharing the model files, is realized under Winscok in order to give technical support for real-time collaborative assembly operationFinally, based on the research above, a prototype of collaborative digital pre-assembly system is developed and an instance is given out.
