| Data Mining is an effective data analysis method. It raises the application of datafrom low-level online query to the much higher-level application of decision support,analysis and prediction.GIS-based Intelligent Transportation System is designed and developed for themodem traffic command center. It is a real-time, accurate and effective trafficmanagement system that integrates control, management and decision-making.With the process of time, the Intelligent Transportation System accumulated amass of data, which contains a lot of valuable information. Applying the data miningtechnology to the Intelligent Transportation System to mine the deep-level andpredictive information that beneath the massive data is very significant for trafficmanagement department to watch and control the road condition and traffic volume,take timely and relevant measures to clear the traffic jam thus to reduce theoccurrence of traffic transgress and traffic accident.This paper mainly studies on the application of data mining technology on theGIS-based Intelligent Transportation System, and develops the FP-growth algorithmwith the software of Visual C++. It is practically demonstrated that the model we usedhere is effective and the result could help traffic management department to makedecision.This paper also introduces the total aim, network environment, functions and thedata share requirement between the Intelligent Transportation System we developedand other system, and analyzes the application of data mining in the system, finallysummarizes the result and the further research based on it. |
