Second-ash-dam of Yueyang Huaneng electrical power station is located on 16m clay foundation. Since 1986, landslides always happen in the second-ash-dam , which interrupting the production. Combined with the soft soil reinforcement project in the Second-ash-dam of Yueyang Huaneng electrical power station, the theories and construction arts of soft soil reinforcement were studied comprehensively, combined with the research method of sites tests, laboratory tests, and numerical simulation. The main content about this dissertation are followings:(1) The slope stability analysis methods were analysised and summarized, and then classed it into the qualitative analysis method, the quantitative analysis method and the new method three kinds, and the basic principle, the virtues or defects and suitable condition of each method were pointed out at last.(2) From aspects of landform physiognomy, geologic structure and stratum lithology, ground water, earthquake effect, soil layer characteristic and so on analyzed the engineering geology conditions in Second-ash-dem soft base landslide, and combined with lab and sites tests to determine the physics mechanical properties modulus of each soil layers.(3) This paper adopts limit equilibrium theory to analyze stability of the Second-ash-dem, and set up foundation for analyzing slope mechanism.(4) Finite element analysis method is applied to analysis deformation behaviors and regularities of stress distribution of the Second-ash-field dam before and after reinforcement. The finite element model simulates the deforming process of Mixing Pile and soil when loaded, discloses the load transfer mechanism between the pile and soil, and evaluates the stress trait and reinforcement effect of Mixing Pile.
