The study of Millimeter-wave band automotive collision warning radar has been developed all over the world.Such a system in practical transportation applications can provide great benefits in safety and driver convenience.This paper disuss automotive anticollision radar's function requirement, working principle and system design.Through summarizing and analysis of its research and development,the paper proposes a new type of Millimeter-wave band automotive collision warning radar that applied on the expressway.LFMCW has the advantages of no range blind area,high range resolution and low signal power,the paper also analyze the LFMCW signal and bring the methods of measure range,which is method of removing slope.For the method,the paper deduces the expression of beat frequency and the formula for range/Doppler processing using two-dimensional fast Fourier transform(FFT) technique.Range-velocity decoupling is one of important scientific research directions.It is emphasis of the paper,too.And use the method of frequency domain pairing according to frequency spectrum parameter of LFMCW beat signal to solve it.
