The integrated automation system of hydropower station is an important assurance for the safe, stable, highly efficient working of power plant. The hydropower development of our country is comparatively rapid, but the automation level is still not high. With the rapid development and mature of computer and electronic information technology in these years, advanced and reliable synthetical automation system has been applied widely. Combining with character of project, the paper has been completed design, installation and debugging of HR-2000 small hydropower integrated automation system, based on deeply research into control system for hydropower plant both at home and abroad.Entire system is a open, layered and distributed control system, which is made of the main control layer and the local control unit (LCU) layer. Compared with various projects, the paper puts forward a control pattern of hydraulic turbine which is fit for small hydropower by using PLC and touch screen, accomplishes PLC type selection and I/O allocation on the basis of undstanding control flow, gives detailed flow diagram of automatic opening and parking, realizes data exchange between PLC and touch screen by using macro command function. This paper also introduces interlocking design in the system and makes an improvement in synchronization design.Furthermore, the paper introduces software and hardware design in communication network, LCU uses RS-485 and CAN fieldbus as digital communication way, main control layer constitutes fast EtherNet by using switch. Different communication ways and protocols are converted by configuration software and network capable application processor(NCAP), communication between PLC and computer is realized through Freeport communication and Modbus protocol.At last, based on debug result in the field, the paper proposes strategy and realization of fuzzy control to the defect of automatic synchronization device. The MATLAB simulation is also gived in this paper.
