Among the high-speed railway and highway in our country, the ratio of bridges is very high. To meet the construction needs of bridge girders, various bridge-building machines emerge as time flying by, one of them is known as movable mould frame. Wuhan Tianxingzhou Yangtse River bridge (TXZ bridge) is an amphibious bridge for both railway and highway. Its north railway bridge approach extends over several kilometers, and most girders of the bridge approach are 40m concrete box-girders. These certain concrete girders are planned to be casted by movable mould frame bridge-building machine. Movable mould frame is a brand new type of bridge-building machine. In this thesis, the following work of this bridge-building machine has been made:1. Evaluation has been concluded on the holistic design proposal of the movable mould frame; the elements those are required to be considered in design along with the design purpose and the design ideas were analyzed. And the issue which is needed to be concerned during construction has been presented.2. By using 3D FEM, the intensity rigidity and stability of the movable mould frame are comprehensively analyzed when it is moving through the pier. The results indicate that the maximum vertical displacement of the machine is within acceptable range; the stress level of the entire movable mould frame is not close to the critical level, stress level of partial certain area is relatively high ,which is under the yield strength however; the stability parameter of the movable mould frame are considerably high, the minimum reaches 6.0, which means that the design is controlled by intensity, but not by stability.3. Under the consideration of the action of wind, the intensity rigidity and stability of the movable mould frame in the process of moving were analyzed by using 3D FEM. The results show that wind load has quite little influence on the rigidity strength and stability of the movable mould frame, which can be ignored defacto.4. The safety and feasibility of the movable mould frame's movingprocess were evaluated, the results reveal the constructionapproach is safe, doable and effective.The study results of this thesis provide a theoretical basis for casting concrete box-girder by adopting movable mould frame bridge-building machine in Wuhan TXZ railway/highway amphibious bridge's north bridge approach, and it can be also referred by the design of other similar movable mould frame bridge-building machines accordingly.
