In China, fly ashes discharged every year are more than a hundred million tons, It takes land,money and causes environmental pollution which is unable to estimate to store such many fly ashes. At present fly ashes are utilizing comprehensively, but the annual consumed amount is forty percent of the annual discharged amount, the reason is that fly ashes have their own characteristic and cannot be studied according to the conventional classification to soil, and the characteristic of fly ashes is understood incompletely。Therefore the study of characteristic of fly ashes is helpful to make use of fly ashes on large amount, and is especially significant to the sustainable development of society.Making use of the PANDA dynamic penetrometer, obtain the characteristic of fly ashes. It is not only advantageous to avoid being complexly and request highly to the equipment and the personnel of the conventional method, but also advantageous to gain accurate parameter, in order to grasps its related characteristic well。This article adopts randomly three fly ashes specimen from Zhengzhou,Yima and Sanmenxia of Henan Province, carry out compaction test, obtains the maximal dry density and the maximal percent of containing water. Then carry out penetration test, protract curve of dry density and energy,curve of dry density and resistance of cone point, obtain resistance of cone point qd of three different wet state when fly ashes is equal to the maximal dry density and 95 percent of it; carry out shearing test, protract curve of shearing strength and vertical strength, obtain viscid strength c and inner rub angleφ; carry out liquid bounding test and plastic bounding test, obtain plastic index Ip; carry out permeability test, obtain permeability coefficient k20.This article introduces something about back-check in fly ashes dam body of Pingdingshan Chengzai and fly ashes dam base in Sanmenxia Longgou, evaluate the application of PANDA standard curve to examine fly ashes; And introduces application of PANDA in situ testing, compare result with result with CPT,SPT, make sure if PANDA is applicable to examine fly ashes stratum。...
