Car Pc Dvd Player System Software Design

With the rapid development of automotive industry in China, more and more automotive electronic products emerge. The development of automotive products focuses on two directions, multimedia entertainment and vehicle navigation. Combining the dual benefits of high multimedia quality and mature technology, DVD offers an opportunity for the In-Car DVD player development.The main purpose of this paper is to design an In-Car DVD player system. This system is based on AMD Au1200 processor and Windows CE operating system.In chapter 1, a comprehensive description about the background of In-Car DVD player is given. The current status and the main task of the research are also described.In chapter 2, the related technology of this system is introduced, including the data format of the DVD disc and the video/audio codec technology.In chapter 3, first the hardware architecture of the DVD player is discussed, and the software platform that the DVD player built on is introduced. Also proposed are a frame design of the system and the codec solutions adopted.In chapter 4, the detail design of the navigation module is discussed in this chapter. The realization is discussed from six sub-modules with emphasis on the navigation manager and the navigation command parser.In chapter 5, the design of mpeg2 video codec, AC-3 audio codec and subtitle module are explained in detail. GUI design and Audio-Video synchronization mechanism are also included in this chapter.In chapter 6, the test environment building and the testing result are given.In chapter 7, the main research conclusion is summarized. The prospect of further research work is also given.
