Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP) is a kind of composite material , which has the characteristic of light weight, high strength and well corrosion resistance. Recently the technique of strengthening concrete structures with CFRP is a hot topic . Although great progress has been made in this field, the research and application is still insufficient in some aspects. So it is significant to resume there search .Referring to the alien research works conducted before, Experiments results indicate that the reinforcing CFRP can be combined with original beams by construction gum ,which makes the CFRPS bearing together with original beams . At the same time the CFRPS enclose tensed concrete , improve the capability of resisting tension and decrease it's maximal deflection , which is very important to the ability of resisting reflex of the original beams can fail in involve yield CFRP tensile rupture and steel yield concrete crushing.Some experiments completed have inferred the theory about strengthening RC structure with Carbon Fiber Polymers (CFRP) sheet in RC structure's strengthening but have not supplied the theory about the rigidity of strengthening reinforced concrete beam.with carbon fiber cloth.Based on the research condition in china and other countries, the following aspects are studied on the new technology of carbon fiber reinforced plastics on strengthening & repairing concrete structures.,The paper are mainly researched the following works:1. The Carbon Fiber Polymers (CFRP) sheet's structure and properties are systematically specified , the CFRP sheet's properties are found from its micromechanism, at the same time , the attentions of design and construction are also defined in this paper.2. On the basis of the test results , three phases are found in thestrengthening RC beam with Carbon Fiber Polymers sheet , the rigidity model of the strengthened RC beam with Carbon Fiber Polymers sheet is set up with the second phase's graph of strain-stress.3. In accordance with strengthened with CFRP the graph of strain-stress , the physical relation .equilibrium condition , the paper has analyzed the law of the rigidity change of strengthening reinforced concrete beam with carbon fiber cloth. This paper systematically has set up the simplified formulas of the rigidity of strengthening reinforced concrete beam with carbon fiber cloth under varies of loads by the analyst method.4. The formulas of the rigidity of strengthened reinforced concrete beam with carbon fiber cloth is tested by the soft of "ANSYS8.0" and experiments completed before.With the theoretical analysis of beams strengthened by CFRP , the proposal formulas to calculate the capability and stiffness of bearing under different forms of loading is suggested . This is very helpful practical design.
