The modern war is a high-tech war and the conventional methods of designing and evaluating the underwater fuze are not adaptive to it. So the classical research ways must be refreshed. The technology of emulation and virtual prototype is employed to adjust to the underwater fuze study today.So the virtual design of the detonator based on database is inevitable. As the database have powerful inquiry and data processing functions, high efficient data support and intelligent expression capability of the experts are supplied and the whole process of virtual design can be implemented on the computer. This helps us increase the design efficiency and reduce the error. It is convenient to find the problems existed through the virtual test at the start of the design. It can implement the interaction between users and design by the virtual environment at the middle. At the end it prove the principles such as the reliability of the design by the technology of the virtual emulation and analyze the aspects of dynamics, control, electromagnetic interference, reliability and security.The main content of this paper is how to acquire data validly, efficiently during the design process. A method for database model is put forward in the paper by combining the virtual design technology with the structure problem of integration database. The total design proposal is given at the foundation of the function request, feasibility assessment and data flow analysis of the underwater detonator design with the database system. Meanwhile, the implement technology of the system is studied in detail. It includes the establishment of bottom database, the lead of the safe model of the database system and the access interface, inquiry module, the data processing module of the physical field of the warship, the on-line help file of the system etc..The final database system have characteristics of high practicability, good expandability, feasible data inquiry , the output of the universal data report, complete parameters, large amount of information and high security. The establishment of the database system lays foundation for the research of the virtual prototype and environment of underwater fuze. It also plays an important role for the optimum design, performance test and evaluation in the design process. Meanwhile, the database system may help to shorten the development period, raise design level, and economize devotion funds. Its economic performance and military meaning can be very considerable and may have an extensive military application.
