AMT is a very important technology as a node of vehicle network with the development of vehicle network and electronic technology application on automobile widely. AMT will have more potential especially on heavy duty vehicle. A data sampling and processing system is presented in this paper, which is a platform of analyzing automatic shift law and developing AMT technology.By reading and studying lots of reference documents, first, this paper introduces the study background, source and signification of theme. Then, it presents not only the rationale and development about AMT in domestic and foreign area but also the basic content and application of J1939. J1939 based on CAN bus is an important content in this paper. J1939 gives an interface between the AMT and other ECU expediently, safely and quickly. After analyzing the information requisition of AMT system, a structure chart about AMT information is described, which includes many function module. After that, this paper mainly presents the data sampling and processing system, which consists of hardware and software design. DSP2407A is the core of hardware, CPLD and A/D converter as accessorial hardware besides common circuit and anti-jamming technique. Software design includes two parts—DSP application software design and PC application software design. The former uses C language programming, the other makes use of Labview graphical language. Man-machine board programmed by Labview language can clearly show the real time state of vehicle. By analyzing the test data saved, AMT technology will become more and more perfect in future.
