So the item (The studying and application of ship's Fixed local water-based (water-mist) fire-extinguishing systems will supply a gap about national ship fire-fighting area, and it has high theoretic value and actual application significance.This system is selected some productions, for example, Pump unit, Nozzle, Optical smoke/heat detector, Flame detector and designed the piping system; validated that if the design of piping system satisfy capability of the water-mist nozzle by the way of water hydraulic calculation (along piping pressure losing and part pressure losing), and This system can detect automatically fire, show the place of fire and spray automatically water-mist. This system has two modes: automatic, manual. Under the automatic condition, when the system detect that there is fire happening, the system will switch on electromagnetic valve and the pump, and extinguish the fire if no people deal with the fire in the set time after the audible and light alarm. Under the manual condition, the operator can extinguish fire in the appointed area by the button in the main controlling panel or the manual button box (local).This system is also applied to the land, for example, port, dock, factory, hotel and so on, if it is mproved. This system is tested on the ship many times, the effect is satisfactory, contented the relational require of IMO MSC/Circ.913 annex.
