Along with the economic development, road developments are on the up, in the last few years our country set up a large amount of high grade road and city fast trunk road, among them the semi-rigid pavement got the more and more extensive application. The semi-rigid base is used as structural bearing stratum in road with the inorganic binder, comparing with flexibility road that adopt the granular material as road construction layer, having the advantage of high strengthen, carrying capacity, good wholeness and rigid. But it also has shortage, the ability of resistant its thermal shrinkage, wet transform are bad, it is easy to format dry shrinkage and wet shrinkage cracking, then make road creation reflective-cracking, cause the asphalt layer craze , affect road usage quantity, shorten the road service life. In recent years for resolving semi-rigid base asphalt road construction existent problem, all over the country did a lot of research work. A method is adding condensate in soil to stable soil quality and decrease road disease harm, decline cost and environmental protection.This paper studies a kind of polymers------RENOLITH, which has a function tosolidify soil, it can mix with the cement, soil of the spot blend and the water, became resemble concrete tectonic plate material, and can effectively decrease road reflection cracking and permeates with the water, at the same time saves the engineering expenditure.The investigative work in this text is divided into four parts :First, analysis of the present condition of semi-rigid pavement base develop and use in our country, summarized the success and lost of the current large quantity usage semi-rigid pavement base to find out the problem-solving method. Second, according to RENOLITH additive work mechanism with characteristic preceded the possibility argument to the additive of RENOLITH. Third, across the method of measure the liquid limit and plastic limit to research the physics and mechanics of RENOLITH inside the red soil.
