Shaped Poly Cover Technical Studies

According to the shaped charge jet theory, in order to increase the power ofpenetration, this article bring forward a new cavity liner------pleat structure, top of thecavity liner is taper , infrastructure is pleat structure. Compared with double angle liner with the same measurement, charge mass of this new cavity liner is increased, so it can get much more kinetic energy of explosion. And the mass of this new cavity liner is also increased, so the mass of jet is increased. These two characteristics both can help to increase the power of penetration. Double angle liner uses one time collapse to form jet, the new cavity liner uses two times collapse to form jet, so jet formation and penetration is much better.On the base of analysis, jet formations of the shaped charge is simulated by ANSYS/LS-DYNA, and compared with double angle liner with the same measurement, result show that this new cavity liner is much better than double angle liner in jet shape and jet mass. Then the whole process of jet formation and jet penetration of the shaped charge is simulated by LS-DYNA, result show that the hole of penetration of the new cavity liner is much deeper than double angle liner.
