Distribution transformer is an abundant and popular applied power equipments. Monitoring to the distribution transformer working parameters is the base to realize the distribution automation. This paper expounds TTU's important impacts and functions in distribution system, analyses TTU's structure and present application. According to the requirement assaying of the TTU's function and technology capability parameters, the writer expounds an intelligent project which uses the 80C196KC as the system's kernel. In this paper, the picking up principle of 3-phase AC voltage and current, and calculating methods of relevant power parameters are explored. The writer also introduces the hardware circuits and software structural devising ways. At the same time, in order to improve the stability of system and reliability of data, the corresponding hardware and software ways to against disturbance are used. The characteristic of the project is that, an interface circuit is applied to adapt to RS-232, RS-485, GPRS and so on communication models which can fulfill the requirement of the distribution automation system's data communication.According to this project, through debugging and working, system requirement are fulfilled. This system possesses a great function of power data picking up, statistics, assaying and disposing, fitting for wire and wireless multiple-communication manners, and it is also convenient to realize power system automation controlling.
