| The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is one of the important active safety devices of modern automobiles. The ABS device is a complicated system and deals with interdisciplinary knowledge such as mechanics, electronics, and hydraulics. The ABS controller technique is a main bottleneck of the ABS development in China.Different from the traditional method, where the development of the ABS controller is based on a mass of vehicle road test, this thesis uses an embedded system. The system is comprised of two PCs, the MATLAB interface function, and some data acquisition cards. One of the PCs is an embedded PC, and the other is an industrial control computer. The main outcomes of this study are as follows:(4) An embedded development system is developed, which consists of an embedded PC and an industrial control computer, the embedded PC is consist of a PCM-6890B main-board and a convenient acquisition card.(5) An ABS controller SIMULINK (an add-in tool of MATLAB) model is developed based on the dynamics model of the vehicle.(6) A hardware-in-the-loop simulation technique is adopted to update and optimize the model parameters. After the model parameters are optimized, the controller model can be transformed into the executable code by using the RTW (an add-in tool of MATLAB). The controller model obtained in such a way is relatively effective and flexible. The developed system can significantly reduce the vehicle road test, shorten the development process, and hence reduce the development cost. In the meantime, the method presented in the thesis can be used in similar situations. |
