Instrument Fault Diagnosis Expert System

With the rapid development of the technology of Semiconductor, Modern manufacture, Communications, Network and Software, the modern instruments'function, intelligence and integration are from strength to strength. Due to the various kinds of the instruments and some commerce reasons, few instrument manufactories can provide whole principle chart of the instrument, and the key technology is kept secret too. So it is almost very difficult to realize fault diagnosis on them from the level circuit board. The Expert System has been applied in the field of fault diagnosis successfully and it almost makes us avoid the problems which the method of traditional fault diagnosis can't solve. It can avoid a lot of the difficulties of the testing and the data collection from the integrate circuit by making the most of the experts'knowledge and experience on fault diagnosis.According to the situation and the foreground of the fault diagnosis of modern instrument, this paper puts forward a kind of diagnosis system which realizing fault diagnosis by expert system. The paper mainly introduces the characteristics and the development of the modern instrument and the design and the application in fault diagnosis of expert system. The system is composed of the software and the hardware and the software is the main. On the base of the common structure of expert system and the simple data collection system, the author expatiate the principle, design and implement of knowledge database, inference engine, explain system and self-learning system of the fault diagnosis expert system. The knowledge database and the inference engine has good generality and expansibility by rationally designing the organizing structure of knowledge base, the order which the knowledge sorts in the database and the diagnosis flow of inference engine. The part of the hardware mainly implements the data collection of diagnosis code and the testing parameters, and it is composed of GPIB card and being diagnosed instruments.By adding the thinking of modularization and the management functions, the use and management of the system is more efficiency.
