The Yunnan Highway Traffic Information Distribution System Based On The ArcIMS Design And Implementation

With the development of computer and network technology, the web-based information propagation technology is becoming one of the mainstreams. And the B/S mode platform is an important part of the electronic government construction. The construction of highway infrastructure invested increasingly and the urgency on convenient procurement of highway transportation and government information necessitate the construction of highway transportation information releasing system.Yunnan province is located in the border area of homeland. highway transportation is the most important manner.But the most websites of transportation information releasing lack highway transportation map. When the transportation information is changed, the changeful information can not be reflected in the websites of transportation information releasing.this factors handicap the application of the highway transportation information. Based on these reasons above, discussing the releasing method of map and developing a highway transportation information releasing system implemented is very necessary. Running results of this system demonstrate that this study is worthwhile.This paper mainly discusses the web map releasing methods. It designs and develops highway transportation information releasing system with developing tools of Macromedia Dreamweaver, technology of JavaScript, VBScript, ASP,GML, all modules of this system are shown by a website of highway transportation. Web map releasing implemented with GML based on the ArcIMS platform will promote the highway transportation information, and will be referenced by later such applications.
