There are 8.4 million reservoirs in China. The total reservoir capacity is 4700 billion m~3. Many reservoirs are built under the special conditions of "san bian" in the period of "da yue jin". The poor workmanship and handing operation lead the reservoir went to wrong. The problem of the reservoir is seep and the main type which occur is embankment dam. The seep not only wastes water resources but also can cause destroy disasters. So it is the hot questions in the project area.DaYao district of YunNan province lies in the red earth highland which has often met seismic.The paper combined the seismic of "7.21", "10.16"of the researvior's practice and analyse the various antiseep methods applicability, merits and faults, provide a suited treatment.The paper analysed the various antiseep methods' applicability, merits and faults, calculated the leakage of the reservoir by means of finite element. Through it, we can judge the seepage deformation quickly and correctly. Provide the suitest project on the basis of its' dam site and hydrogeologic condition.We can get the leakage through the model building, analyse the material of the dam body, base of dam, and confirm the boundary condition and the seep calculate head. The paper can be divided five parts as following:(1) Seek the seepage type and the connection between character and idea, research the destructive character and development;(2) Seek the seepage type and the connection between character and idea;resear the destructive character and its development.(3) Analyse the applicability, merits and faults of various seepage.(4) Treat the ZhaoJiaLongTan reservoir as the main case, provide the suitest treatment under the basis of it's' dam site and hydrogeologic condition and found the focal point.(5) Compare the leakage befor and after treatment,it confirmed that the method wasvalid.The paper researched the seepage treatment of the embankment dam systematicly and improved calculation.Provide a correct and scientific method which can apply in the same area to DaYao. The method is an effective way to prevent the malignancy development.The operational aspects showed that the method was suited to the leakage calculation and seepage deformation. The leakage of ZhaoJiaLongTan is reduced from 7.28% to 2.68%, the effection was valid, it confirmed that the results of the paper were scientific and correct. It offers an effective method to the seepage treatment.
