Security of Braking System is required more and more urgently while motorcycles have been more and more popular. The emergence of motorcycle ABS (Anti-Blocking Braking System) make the motorcycle Braking System' s security has a revolutionnary improvement. But the motorcycle category is various, so it brings difficulty to the motorcycle ABS series design, and affects usage and popularity of motorcycles.In order to resolve the mentioned problems, synthetically using the VC, UG/ OPEN API, UG/OPEN UIStyler and UG/OPEN MenuScript etc, this paper applys secondary development for UG NX3. 0 and builts up the motorcycle ABS parameter design system in the environment of UG, which can carry out motorcycle ABS parameter design.By applying secondary development for UG NX, this paper establishes characteristic menu for motorcycle ABS parameter design system in the environment of UG, which matches operation habits of UG, and has friendly interfaces. Using VC and UG/ OPEN API to compile application programs, the application of the characteristic menu can make the motorcycle ABS parameter design system add to UG automatically. The establishment of the motorcycle ABS parameter design system is based on charactristic and programmal parameter design, which overcomes the faults of much workload of programming and needing professional programmer. This system can be conveniently expanded and migrated and easily maintained.The motorcycle ABS parameter design system has many advantages such as series design, lowering design difficulties, reducing repeated work, shortening time of design, lowering design cost and promoting the expansionary usage of motorcycle ABS.
