With concrete-filled steel tube arch bridges constructed in longer span, engineers pay more attention to the problem of wind-resistance during construction. In the construction of Nanchang Shengmi Bridge, its arch ribs are constructed by lifting and using giant gantries, so it's fairly necessary to study the stability of them under construction. In this dissertation, construction methods of long span arch bridges are reviewed firstly, and the lifting process of Shengmi Bridge's arch ribs is illuminated in detail. In succession, the status of study of wind-resistance in long span bridge construction is presented, and then the necessity of work of this dissertation is brought forward. The aerostatic stability analysis of the gantries and main arch ribs under wind load is accomplished by ANSYS program. Firstly, the CFD module of ANSYS is used to compute the aerostatic force coefficients of arch ribs sections. And then, the static and stability analysis of gantries and main arch ribs under several construction statuses is completed. The dynamic stability during construction is studied by tunnel experiment. At first, the dynamic characteristic of gantries and main arch ribs is computed through ANSYS, which is the basis of aeroelastic model design and test condition design, and then the test results are analyzed and discussed. According to wind tunnel test results, the aerodynamic interference effect of main arch ribs is studied, taking in account some factors such as the position of interfering arch rib, construction status of interfered arch ribs and wind direction angle.
