With the higher requirement of reliability, security, reality and less cost of modern train, the train and other public transportation system's operators are facing flinty challenge. However the development of the technology of embedded micro control and field bus have resolved this prolem, so that the process control of modern train has developed from concentrated direct digital control system to distributed control system basing on network. Train Communication Network(TCN) standard (IEC-61375) is used to standarde the communication of device data on train, TCN is divided into train level communication network -- WTB which is used for connecting each dynamically organized vehicle and vehicle level communication network– MVB which is used for connecting fix devices in vehicle. MVB is an advanced bus used to control fix devices in trains, which uses reliable Manchester coding and CRC check coding; and supplies more two type of data according to different time-critical needs.And MVB supplies every device with the communication interface and communication service.This paper introduces TCN and MVB in brief, then it analyses the function of MVBC and discusses design methodology of every module of MVBC. At last it discusses the function, timing of the MVBC system and realization by FPGA.This design for MVBC system adopts Top-down EDA common design flow. Circuit design adopts VerilogHDL coding description. Function simulation and timing verification adopt simulation tool VCS of Synopsys Inc, the logic synthesis tool and FPGA programming tool adopt the Quartus II of Altera Inc, and the FPGA advice Stratix II EP2S15.MVB has the wide application by the trend of modern development of train and vehicle. This design supplies a base for designing MVBC product.
