The paper is based on a 80kHz parallel resonant induction heating power supply, whose inverter is controlled by parallel control method and sequence method respectively, and it studies the IGBT's loss in different operation conditions and different control method, in order to find the best scheme for the parallel resonant induction heating power supply. The paper presents the device construction and operation principle of IGBT, concludes the research actuality both at home and abroad, and conducts the comparative study about IGBT's loss from different point of view. The paper focuses on our research platform, and analyses the loss characteristic of IGBT in parallel resonant induction heating power supply at last.
