Modern war indicated that airborne warning and control system (AWACS) take on the all kinds of radar warning system, control system and command system. AWACS become the entire war system's nerve center. It's indispensable for national defence and capture mastery of the sky.It's revealed that our country need more than 200 advanced AWACS for aerial defence and capture mastery of the sky. But for some history reasons, right now maintenance-support system has not been finalized, maintenance equipment and method is out of date and informalization level is low. At this situation, even equipped with a great deal of AWACS, its warfare performance can't be adequately carried out.Based on the systematic summary and categorization of domestic and international researches on advanced maintenance-support systems and technology, the current of AWACS maintenance-support engineering was summarized. That is conveniency, automatization and intelligentization. According to the request of national aviation industry informalization, advanced maintenance-support idea, artificial intelligence, data warehouse, interface-tech are applied to design integrated maintenance information systems frame. First, after the analysis of the whole process of maintenance-support work and the route and relation of data-transfer, the data-transfer model and function model were obtained. Second, the new "message driver" mechanism and new data property coding were established, and integrated maintenance information system adopt expert system to improve the capacity of maintenance message automatically collection, conversion, storage, decision-making and forecast. At last, this thesis refers to the idea of CALS standard system to make sure the information system consistency, basically working-out the ability, technology and data standard system of maintenance-support information system.The thesis integrated advanced maintenance, computer and communication technology into the system, which will greatly improve the capacity of equipment support and viability and after extended which is also applicable for the maintenance work of other equipment.
