Line Combination Of Bus Rapid Transit System Study

From analyzing the contradiction that the passenger walking distance will be longer when the span of the stations is made longer to accelerate the operation rate in BRT system, this paper puts forward using the combination of the standard lines in which the vehicles stop at any stations, the rapid lines in which the vehicles stop after an interval of some stations and the nonstop lines in which the vehicles stop only at some stations with higher passenger flow. It also analyses the merits and demerits of line combination, all the possible forms and the infecting factors of line combination, brings forwards using arithmetic of computing the best key to choose the form of line combination. Then it analyses the operation cost of the enterprises and the travel cost of the passengers in particular and ascertain the cost function. It analyses the objective of line combination and ascertain the objective function. At last, it puts forwards the restricting conditions fromjboth passengers and lines, calculates the model using heredity arithmetic and programs using Visual Basic which provides users a convenient and utility visual interface.
