Western Highway Pavement Structure

This thesis embarks from condition of nature and geography,factor of human literature, feature of constitute of traffic vehicle and so on which affect the pavement structure, combines with the west item of the ministry of communications—the criterion and the scale of road in the west, by investigating and collecting information of the west, analyses the actuality and composing of the west highway. Aiming at the especial condition of nature of west, this paper analyses the diseases about especial roadbed and road surface and puts forward precautionary measures. By researching the roadbed height, this paper elicits the rational roadbed height. By investigating and collecting information of west pavement structure, combined with overseas and domestic pavement structures, this paper contrasts and analyses the thickness of domestic pavement structure between the west, the east, and the criterion, through the feasibility investigation about the reduction of the road surface thickness of semirigid pavement structure, brings forward the range of propositional road surface thickness of semirigid pavement structure. This thesis analyses the layered thickness of road surface of the west freeway, makes suggestion that two-double road surface is the primary choice in the west.Based on the characteristic of the west, this paper brings forward the request and principle of material choice and gives some advice, and recommends some pavement structures of the west. This paper researches the cement concrete pavement structure and material. The paper also researches pavement structure type choice between cement concrete and asphalt concrete, contrasts and analyses these two pavement structures all-around, and brings forward the fuzzy mathematics method which is applied to resolve the problem of pavement structure type selection. At last, it also researches the rural-highway, takes apart and resolves the problem about it, and advances the typical pavement structure of rural-highway. The investigation in this paper will be a reference to the road construction in the west and will offer the gist for the concerned policy formulating for our country.
