Energy sources is the economic base and life line of every country's civil economy. Nowadays, nuclear energy ,which can make up for the rapidly reduced chemical fuel, is playing a more and more important role in the development of electric power of every country because it is efficient, economical, clear, abundant and more saving comparatively. Fast reactor can be largely used, because it has the advantages of high proliferation, safety, high thermal efficiency, and so on.The thesis have studied the reactor shield of Chinese Experimental Fast Reactor(CEFR). According to aseismic design criterion about nuclear power station, the paper accomplishes static analysis, modal analysis and transient analysis of the reactor shield.The reactor shield is an important part of CEFR, which is welded by two columniation shells, eight armor plates, five concrete plates and eight stiffening ribs. The whole thesis has studied mechanical analysis of the reactor shield for the application of engineering project, and largely applied the theory of finite element to solve the problem that exists in the structural mechanics and stress and strain analysis of reactor shield is proceeded. The paper analyses the three projects of construction and gives the advantage and disadvantage of each project.The work achieved in the thesis deserves high practical engineering significance as it is closely hung together with the project.
