The Liquid Ring Pump is the necessarily and basic product which can influence theperformance of the vacuum equipment directly and widely used by the oil, chemical, metallurgy,mine, electric power, light industry, medicine, vivers and other currency industry.Through the analyses in this paper, it is sure that there are many factors which can decidethe performance and structural parameter of the liquid ring pump. such as the impeller, liquidring ,the position and form of inlet and outlet etc.The comparison of the form design among the radial impeller, tangential impeller andcurving impeller shows that the curving impeller can provide the better structure, bettercompressibility and higher efficiency. But the stress and strain of radial impeller and curvingimpeller are higher, that is decided by their structure. So the design of the impeller are not onlyconsider the influence of its structure, but also the intensity and manufacture problem.The flow process inside the liquid ring pump is more complex than the commonly slidingvane pump. Considering the complexity of the force acting on the impeller is absolutelydifferent while the liquid ring pump rotating, we partition one circle of the impeller into fourparts: inlet area, compression area, outlet area and dead area. Then according to the differenceof the force acting on each area, find out a regularly altering force and analyze the strength ofthe impeller. The FEA shows that the maximum stress and strain are take place in thecompression area because of the press distribute non-uniformly on the impeller. But no matterwhich impeller, its stress and strain can't exceed the arrow range. What need to pay attention tois that: the influence of reaction of the liquid ring should be considered when rotating with highspeed and the large press, another way, by the reason of the alternating state p of the vane, theinfluence of the fatigue should be take into account.It is a importance work to improve the reliability and efficiency, reduce the eddy currentloss , new technique and new process in the design and development of the liquid ring pump.
