The economy of our nation has developed fast in recent years and the national production value keeps on going. In such a condition, raw materials like coal and ore will be a great need. So the number of the main working equipment in bulk terminals—Semiautomatic grab unloaders will increase. Their maintenance and management will be important for the purpose of keeping the terminals working properly.In this theme it analyzes the serious shortcomings in the maintenance and management of unloaders . And to surmount these shortcomings, it puts forward the double-mode monitor system of unloaders based on OPC technology and formulates the main attainable objective. In this theme ,it is also discussed .based on OPC, the theoretical basis and the realizing method of the double-mode monitor system, which include the collection, conversion, scaling transform of the date needed in configuration softwares ,and how to realize the date communication and how to configure. The meaning and the relation of the two methods are also discussed, and we also compare the differences in configuration and their effects. we research the theories and the application of the Ethernet combined with OPC in the communication between the spot layer the and monitor layer.In this theme, it is resolved the problem that how to monitor the running status of the semiautomatic grab unloaders The system can discover and forecast the failure in time, avoid the magnitude accidents and enormous economic loss, what is more, we can dig out the hidden troubles from the running status of the equipments and cut down the failure stop time caused by human being.The coherence of the local and remote interfaces and failure warnings resolved the problem that two monitor interfaces and failure warnings are different nowadays, improved the monitor impact.The Ethernet combined with OPC solved the communication between the spot layer and the monitor layer, and solved the transplantable question of the system. It improved the convenience of the system upgrade and unchained the limit of the PLC style choice.The theme tries to summarize a common way of PLC-IPC monitor system,meanwhile, offer some useful methods and use for reference to some other large-scale crane equipments.
