The high voltage capacitor is widely used in high voltage system, it's one key element of high voltage equipment. Because the inborn defect may exist in capacitor's insulating capability, and its insulating capability will also be affected by electronic erosion, vibratile dehisceence and thermal fission, dampness etc during storage and running, which will bring about Parital Discharge. So the PD signal contains gradual message about insulating capability. Whereas mature theory and successful application in PD under Alternate Current voltage, it is close to true status of capacitor through analysing PD feature of capacitor under Dirrect Current voltage betterly. That will provide forceful proof for forecasting capacitor's storage and discovering its earlier defect, which is great significative to improve reliability, and validity of high voltage system.Based on investigation, research for HV capacitor's PD under DC which still is new technology in PD domain. The primary feature analysis for HV capacitor's PD under DC is mainly presented, which will provide referenced approach and technology experience for extracting capacitor's PD fingerprint, recognition and classification.The capacitor PD feature under DC is studied during electrification in this paper. Based on PD mechanism, PD testing theory and characteristic of PD under DC, manual work detect system and automatic test system are designed on existing condition. And the age test circuit is designed and stimulated in OrCAD/PSpice9 environment. The construct of manual work detect system is expatiated, and the anti-interfere measure is also expatiated. Then PD feature from testing is extracted in accordance with statistical theory, which is disposed and is recognized by MATLAB and EXCEL. At the same time, The construct of automatic test system and the primary test effect are all introduced.
