With the development of computer and communications technology, especially the introduction of the Globe Positioning System-GPS, the phasor measurements, which plays an important role in power system, become reality. Through phasor measurements, the real-time operation state of a power system can be seen, which is meaningful to the theory and application research on power system supervisory, protection and stability control. Presently, the relevant research about power network real time supervisory system based on phasor measurement units has become a hot topic.Combined with a actual research project, this thesis carried out a study on the central station(CS) included in a power network real time supervisory system. The paper's primary contents are as follows:· Introductions to the supervisory system structure and the functions of its main parts;· Scheme design of the CS's communication module and the implementation of communication program;· Conduct analysis and comparison to several databases, present an optimized database design for the central station platform by referring to those database differences in capability;· The design and program realization of main-machine interface module;· Basing on the data acquisition character of PMU, present one kind of network parameter management software suitable for the central station, which can be used to provide on-line calculation model for advanced application software.In the central station platform, data acquisition terminal is type SDH-01 PMU developed independently by the Shandong University. The platform structure and the data transmission bottom protocol adopts the Client/Server mode and TCP/IP, with the MS SQL Server 2000 severing as the application database. Through repeated experiments, this station is proved that it is credible and secure, and has transplantable and universal characters. MeMory DataBase, Application DataBase and History DataBase are combined each other. The multi-thread and multi-process technology assures real-time data transmitting. The platform configure is very flexible, and the user interface is friendly. So we believe that this central station platform will beable to get practical application.
