The construction mechanics of the bridge engineering is a new surplus mechanical subject that is developed in recent years and closely related to the engineering practices. The paper compared the construction mechanics and the general mechanics of the bridge engineering in the way of the geometry composition, the intensity, the rigidity and the stability. The similarities and differences of the working and construction transient structure are systematically expanded in all directions. The significance of the construction mechanics was stressed in the organization design of the construction of the bridge engineering and the control of the construction process.According to the idea of the construction mechanics, the paper mainly researched the stability characteristics of the tied-arch bridge in the course of the stretching suspender under the construction stage.According to the parameter of the impacting stability characteristics of the built bridge engineering, the paper analyzed the influencing factors of the stability of the transient arch rib in the course of construction and advised the computation formulation of the portrait and transverse direction under the construction stage. In the theory, the paper analyzed that the forces of the suspender that couldn't protect the director, the side-tipping corner of the main arch ribs, the temporary wale, the course of the batch stretching suspender, the bearing conditions of the bracket, the construction loads, the prestress of collar beam and so on impacted on the stability characteristic of the transient arch rib in the course of construction.Based on summarizing the correlative researches home and abroad, the paper carried out the theoretical investigation and the finite element program analyze on the stability characteristics of a prestressed concrete tied-arch bridge engineering under the construction. And the paper put emphasis upon investigating the various influence parameters on the stability characteristics of tied-arch bridges (especially simply supported ones), such as the forces of the suspender that cannot protect the director and the bearing conditions, the temporary brace (the wind bracing), the course of the stretching suspender, the side-tipping corner, the prestress of collar beam and so on impact on the construction stages. According to the analysis of the example, the paper came to some beneficial conclusions on the construction and design of the engineering and offered some proposals about the further studies on the construction mechanics. The paper hopes that the conclusions drew in the paper can accumulate some theoretical basses and practical experiences for the stabilitycharacteristics of tied-arch bridges under the construction stages and the further studies of the construction mechanics.
