Since tie-arch bridge has developed rapidly,disease like suspender rust have found in a lot of this kind of bridges.For tie-arch bridge,the boom is an important member for transmitting force.The boom will appear kinds of disease after a long service period and it will influence the performance of the tie-arch bridge.Therefore,it is an important measure to replace suspender of tie-arch bridge to avoid accident of the bridge.The tie-arch bridge has multiple indeterminate structure and has complex stress,so it is quite necessary to conduct research on the suspender replacement to realize aimed condition of the bridge.The paper mainly conducts research on the process of the suspender replacement.And study the research of the comparison between replacing old suspender to flexible suspender and to rigid suspender and study the research of achievement of aim condition after the suspender replacement and the research of the performance of tie-arch bridge during the process of achievement above.The main work of this paper is as follows.1.The paper conducts analysis on the process of suspender replacement with the finite element software to study the performance of bridges under the travelling load between the tiearch bridges with flexible suspender and rigid suspender and the result indicates that the performance of bridges with two kinds of suspender differs little.Based on the different construction characteristic between flexible suspender and rigid suspender,the paper chooses flexible suspender to replace the rigid suspender.2.The paper studies the research of achievement of aim condition after the suspender replacement with Kriging model and finite element model.The result shows that suspender replacement under the instruction of the analysis above can realize the expended bridge state.3.Based on the practical engineering and the result of the research of the turn of suspender replacement,the paper studies the research of the stretching force the suspender needed to finish the study on the performance of the tie-arch bridge during the process of suspender replacement.The result shows that suspender replacement under the instruction of stretching force can realize the expended state when completing suspender replacement at every step of the construction.Based on the result above analysis,the paper studies the research of the performance of the bridge during the process of suspender replacement which shows that the replacement process only influence suspender around the replaced suspender and guarantees that the process is safe and stable through stretching and loosening temporary suspender step by step.4.The paper studies the research of monitoring based on the engineering example.The paper finishes suspender replacement guided by the theoretical analysis and evaluates suspender replacement to make the bridge meet design requirement.The result shows that the theoretical analysis is correct and it can realize aimed condition of bridge after suspender replacement.
