The technical performance forecast must be accomplished during the design of it when a new product is going to be developed in modern mechanism field. The finite element method (FEM) is an availably way to analyze the product's performance. The 3D modeling of the product is the basic work to use FEM.Gear transmission is one of the types of transmission most extensively used in mechanical drive. Just because the gear's structure is very intricate and its tooth geometric shape is interrelated to its manufacturing method, it is quietly difficult to 3D model of a gear. FEM can't be used to analysis a mechanism composed by gears.The paper figure out the involute tooth profile Descartes equation and the transition curveDescartes equation, which is the typical represent in tooth profile, and build up the mathematical model of the tooth face of the curved-tooth bevel gear. The equation and the mathematical model are acquired just after studying of the theory of gearing, and the mathematical model also result from the actual manufacturing method. Then, the paper accomplish the accurately 3D-modeling of the four generally used types of gears: cylindrical spur gean cylindrical helical gean straight bevel gear and curved-tooth bevel gear. In the following part, the paper accomplishes the tooth stress analysis based on the model.
