This paper stems from the project of National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (Type B), named "Three-Dimensional Digitalized Design Special System and Toolset for Industry Typical Products" (No.2002AA411030) and "Research Faced to Computer Aided Definition Design about Product Innovation" (No.2002AA411110). one project of National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (Type A),Based on the Industrial design. the paper systematically researched the theory and methodology of Multi-Target Industrial Design Evaluation and Decision with computer aided technology. An evaluating branch framework of Multi-Target Industrial Design Evaluation and Decision was built up. The branch weight was decided using the improved analytic hierarchy process. A tool was designed. which can build the evaluating branch dynamically. Many evaluating tools and querying tools were designed and established. A prototype system was established on the CAXA platform based on Component Object Model (COM) technology. which realized the building of evaluating branch of Multi-Target Industrial Design Evaluation and Decision and the selecting of many evaluating methods and the querying of evaluating result based on the model-base, the database, the method-base. The system can help designers to make decision in the selecting of projects.The prototype system had been integrated with the Computer Aided Industrial Design "China Design Version 1.0". The testing result showed that the system can assist designer in product of Multi-Target Industrial Design Evaluation and Decision effectively.
