We've discussed laser systems which operate in the maximum and near range with host helicopter launching missile and laser designator, in order to develop local helicopter Laser semi-active guidance potential power.First, we've focused on controllable parameter optimization for maximum range (8 Km), worked out general laser designator equation which have variety parameters included target, central area distribution function of laser spot on a target, etc. The minimum laser power has been calculated aiming at resolving seeker release probability of guidance detector, considering characters of designator, transmission, reflector, stability track, guide threshold. This result has been verified in the weapon system when the missile launches, the conclusions of test and model has been discussed.Second, we've focused on the laser scatter's impact on the proper operation of seeker for near range. Laser backscattering model has been given. And we discussed the relationship between atmosphere and guidance system parameters, have an analysis of sensitivity and match parameters by calculating, the proposal for guidance system over a near range is presented and verified with system test.
