The sedimentation deformation damage of road base due to the insufficient ground bearing capacity in loess area is a problem to be solved in road construction. Therefore, it is necessary to check the road base bearing capacity in loess area in the stage of design. Combined with the characteristics of highway engineering, the controlling index of road base deformation is proposed. The regression relationship between the sedimentation deformation controlling index of road surface and allowable sedimentation deformation index of ground surface is established using the actual observation material and the FEM results. As to the eigenvalue of ground bearing capacity in the construction department, the corrections concerning width, relative allowable deformation and stiffness are carried out. The design value of road base bearing capacity matching the characteristics of road base in loess area are put forward. The checking method of road base bearing capacity in loess area is determined correspondingly. |
