This paper describes a silver activation detector, which has been built and calibrated to measure the mixed X, Y ,n pulsed radiate fields. This detection system is composed of silver foil, G-M counter, polyethylene moderators, shielding harness of scattering neutron etc. Its modular design allows several efficiency vs. energy responses is the almost same from 0.144MeV to 14MeV. Calibration coefficients obtained for two distances and six neutron energies based on the method for stopping the radiation after the detector is saturated using an accelerator-type neutron source. The detector efficiency is 8.4x10'7 to 1.2x10-6 from 0.144MeV to 14.8MeV and 1.1xl0-6~1.2xl0-6 from 0.144MeV to 5MeV. Its uncertainty is below 10%. This detection system then is used in the LIA of 12MeV to measure the neutron flux of (X,n) reaction and obtained that neutron yield is 2.6x109~3.7x109n/pulse.
