This thesis is concerned with the electrical character analysis and research of electric vehicle including the energy, motors and control system. The model of battery source, the calculating method of the battery charge capacity and the state of charge are given in this thesis. The scheme for quick charging can be obtained by the charge characteristic and releasing characteristic research of battery. The detailed analysis and comparing have been made about the characters of various motors that are used in the driving system of electric vehicle. The parameter chosen of motors is based on the calculating result of driving power. In the control system it is given that principle of DC/DC converter circuit and graph analysis. It is emphasis for the DC/AC converter that the control principle of PWM converter, harmonic wave analysis and control method by using microcomputer. According to the control strategy of AC motors, the two control means put forward to be applicable to electric vehicle about VVVF and space vector. The speed adjusting of synchronous permanent magnetic motor and no brush permanent magnetic DC motor have been described also in this thesis. Passing the study of electrical character to electric vehicle, joining together the specific circumstance of our country city road transportation, the possibility technique project and the viewpoint about the development of electric vehicle are presented.
