Plastic scintillation detectors are widely used in measurement of pulse fission neutron and r radiation. The neutron sensitivity of common plastic scintillation detector falls rapidly with decline of neutron energy, especially when energy of neutron is lower than lMeV. This plastic scintillation detector is not fit for measurement of the total of pulse fission neutron with low intensities.A new plastic scintillation detector, plastic scintillation detector Containing 6Li, is brought forward and developed in this report aimed at demand of the measurement. Nuclear reaction between 6Li and neutron has some characteristics, for example, high reaction energy and high energy of hypo-charged particles. Besides, the nuclear reaction section increases rapidly with decline of neutron energy. It is shown that this new plastic scintillation detector can increase low energy neutron sensitivity in theoretic calculations.Theoretic calculation formula of neutron energy response and y radiation energy response of this new plastic scintillation detector is brought forward in this paper. The most part of performance parameters of detector are studied in some experiments. A series of creative research results are achieved.Neutron sensitivity of several plastic scintillation detectors Containing 6Li new developed are measured at K-400 accelerator and serial accelerator in this paper. Neutron energy response curves of several plastic scintillation detectors Containing 6Li are obtained. Important progress is made in acquiring low energy neutron sensitivity of detectors. The contribution of 6Li in scintillator is first observed in this experiment.r radiation energy response curves of these new scintillation detectors are also achieved at standard isotope r radiation source. The parameters of theoretic calculation formula are decided via comparison between experimental data and theoretical calculation. Valuable experimental data are acquired.Time response of scintillators Containing 6Li are measured at pulse generator with ps pulse width. Experiments show that time response FHWM of plastic scintillation detectors Containing 6Li is about 6~9ns and expands because of adulteration of 6Li.In the end, permeance ratio of plastic scintillation detectors Containing Li are researched on spectrophotometer with light wave from 200nm to 1100nm. Experiments show that permeance ratio of plastic scintillators descends with increase of concentration of 6Li.
